*** KHFC mortgages top 500 billion won -In KHFC’s first 25 business days since its opening, from March 25 to April 30, 544.7 billion won in mortgages were originated. -Since topping 100 billion won on March 31st in only five business days, mortgage origination shows steady growth, surpassing the 500 billion won mark in only 23 business days. -While it took six business days to go from 100 billion won to 200 billion won, it only took three business days to go from 400 billion to 500 billion won. -Given the increase in daily origination to 34.9 billion won (on April 30), the upward momentum in KHFC mortgage origination is expected to continue into May. -Hana Bank is the leading originator with 257.6 billion won, followed by Korea First Bank (75 billion won), Kookmin Bank (59.3 billion won), and Woori Bank (49.1 billion won), which shows the rapid increase in mortgage origination.
