The Valid Application for the Special Bogeumjari Loan Stands at KRW 43tn 

The Korea Housing Finance Corporation(HF, CEO Choi Joon Woo) announced on January 5, 2024 that the valid application for the Special Bogeumjari Loan stands at KRW 43 trillion or about 180,000 cases, as of December 31, 2023.  

 ㅇ  In terms of the loan purpose, a new house purchase accounted for the most with 65.3%, followed by refinancing and return of the rent deposit, which were 28.0% and 6.7% for each.

HF said, “As planned, the preferential type of the Special Bogeumjari loans would be supplied until the 29th of this month. From the 30th of January, the provision of the conventional Bogeumjari loans will resume to continuously support house purchase of the low-to-moderate income households and the end-users.”
