HF donates to support ’young adults preparing for self-reliance’ in Busan 

- Donated KRW 55million, based on the walk mileage contribution of its executives and staff


Korea Housing Finance Corporation(HF, CEO Choi Joon Woo) announced on 20 June that it donated KRW 55million to Busan Community Chest of Korea (Chairperson Choi Geum Sik). The contribution is to ease the living cost burden on the ’young adults preparing for self-reliance’ * in the city. (Photo Attached)

*  Young adults who grew up in social welfare institutions and now have to be released from protection of the institutions for life of self-reliance, independent from economic and social support from the government.


HF promoted the ‘Happy Feet with HF’ campaign from April 29 to May 27, during which contribution is accumulated aligned with a mile its executives and staff walked. Through the campaign, KRW 55million was collected, which is to be used to cover the residential costs for 33 local young adults preparing for self-reliance. The beneficiaries are decided by recommendation of Busan Young Adults Self-Reliance Support Center. 



CEO Choi commented, “ I think the campaign was all the more meaningful, as HF employees could join the environment protection movement while making contribution to the local community at the same time. HF will work toward to better residential stability of young adults, who are the next generation of our society.”
