HF Receives Highest Rating in ESG Management Assessment

- Achieving ‘AA,’ the highest rating under Sustinvest’s management assessment framework

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Kim Kyung-Hwan) announced on the 16th that it received the highest rating of ‘AA’ in a management assessment conducted by Sustinvest,** a leading and widely recognized institution in Korea’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG)* assessment sector.

 * ESG refers to the three key elements for achieving sustainability in corporate management.

** Sustinvest is a specialized institution that comprehensively assesses the ESG management levels of approximately 1,300 companies, including listed companies and major public institutions in Korea.

This assessment is particularly significant as HF’s ESG management framework was objectively recognized as being at the highest level through an assessment conducted by an external institution with established credibility and expertise.

HF received consistently high scores across all areas. ▲ In the Environmental category, HF was recognized for expanding eco-friendly housing finance, including offering preferential interest rates on Bogeumjari Loans for green building-certified homes. ▲ In the Social category, it was recognized for practicing inclusive finance to support housing stability for low- and moderate-income households and for its efforts to promote shared growth with local communities. ▲ In the Governance category, HF was recognized for its efforts to enhance transparency in decision-making and promote responsible management.

HF CEO Kim Kyung-Hwan said, “This assessment has earned HF external recognition for its level of ESG management and its ability to put it into practice,” adding, “We will continue our efforts to deliver tangible sustainability management outcomes that the public can truly experience.”
